We LOVE going to the park and especially when our best friends Witt and Susanna are with us. Tyner and Susanna absolutely adore each other and it truly is the cutest friendship!! They get so excited when they see each other! We laugh and say that Witt is Maggie's bodyguard because he is about twice her size! We are blessed to have the Brooks family in our life!

Father-son outing
Tuesday activities
As you can see from Tyner's jacket it was a chilly day in Nashville. We took a brief stroll and bike ride before lunch. When Maggie woke up from her nap she showed us her new move. She can now go from her crawl into a squat! We have hit a new milestone. And I couldn't resist getting a picture of her 4 teeth! She shows them to us all the time because she never quits smiling!

Double Decker
We had a great time in Oxford at Double Decker. Tyner got to ride on a choo-choo and he was absolutely beside himself! He waved the entire time. As you can see from the picture he is sitting straight up and so proud!! Before we left town we were able to stop by the Randolph's and see Uncle Cooper and Logan! I see a little bit of family resemblance don't you?!

Playing with Emma Kate and Noble Lucius
We traveled to Olive Branch on Friday to spend the night with Brandon, Amy Lauren, Emma-Kate and Noble Lucius. It was total chaos with a 3 year old, 2 year old, 10 month old and 4 month old but so much fun! Hunter and I had a great time catching up with Brandon and Amy Lauren. Tyner and Emma-Kate had the best time together. It was so much fun watching them play together. It was hilarious watching all of us get ready the next day to head to Oxford for Double Decker. Needless to say we all managed to turn their house upside down by the time we walked out the door!

The Zoo
Thursdays are our zoo days. I pick up Tyner from school and we go down the road to the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere.
All Tyner could talk about from the moment we got to the Zoo was seeing the goats. It is an area that is called the petting zoo. Children can walk up to a bucket and get a brush and brush the goats. I love the fact that he wanted to do this so bad! There are also donkeys, llamas, and a few other animals in this petting zoo area. We also saw our friend the red panda. He walked right up to the window. When we returned from the zoo we sat on the front porch and Tyner painted and played in our fountain.

Wednesdays are our Bible study days and as Tyner says, "We go to Jesus house today, Mommy?" Our study this week was on Psalm 127. It was incredible! The theme of this Psalm is building the foundation of our home on the Lord! It also speaks of the gifts that children are! They are truly a gift from our Awesome God! After we got home and the kids woke up from their naps it was pretty low key. We went on a nice stroll and played around the house. We like low key days!

Sunday Afternoon Stroll
Another beautiful spring day in Nashville! We took an afternoon stroll down to the "Pied Piper Creamery" in Five Points. They have the most delicious homemade ice cream! Tyner rode his bike and Maggie waved from her stroller. When we got home Hunter and Tyner cleaned out the pond and took care of our goldfish that are in it!

Dancing to the music
Well, Saturday was a very low key day around our house. We basically hung around our house all day. Hunter took Tyner to Blockbuster to rent a Thomas movie(his very favorite in the whole world). While they were gone I put on Baby Einstein for Maggie. She loves it. Now when she gets excited about something or hears music she starts rocking back and forth and laughing. So, I had to video her doing this while she was watching all the animals on her movie!

Swinging
Tyner and I had a great conversation on our front porch swing about his day at school. He made the cutest placemat so we had to talk about it.

Playing around the house
When Tyner woke up from his nap yesterday I set up an obsticle course for us to do. He called it the "ocsicle" course. He loved it!! Well, Maggie was having a great time, too. She was chasing this yellow ball around and it ended up in her exersaucer. Well, that didn't stop her from trying to get it!
Learning our ABC's
Tyner is learning to recognize his ABC's. http://www.starfall.com/ is a great website that is so much fun and does a great job introducing the alphabet. This week we are learning the letter B!

Welcome to our Blog!
We are Tyner and Maggie Simpson and welcome to our blog. Our mommy has finally decided to begin this journal for us but is still trying to figure out exactly what to do. We hope you enjoy watching us grow and learn!
I pray that my children would never remember a day not knowing, loving, and serving our Great God! In the Simpson house we are trying to memorize 1 verse a week. So, I am going to try to put up a new verse each week and would love for any and everyone to memorize it with us!!

Verse of the Week
Our verse this week is Luke 2:9-11. "An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a SAvior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
Biblical Virtues to pray for my children

"God, please cultivate in Tyner and Maggie the ability to show true humility toward all."

About Me
- simpsonfamily
- I am a mom to 5 beautiful children. 4 on earth and 1 in heaven. Our precious Lucy went home to our Savior on October 30, 2013. This is not the life we ever imagined we would be living, but we rest in knowing that our God is sovereign over us and knows what is best for our family!
